The mouth of each vial is closed with a square of fine-mesh fabric screen. A large hole is cut in the centre of the snap-on plastic cap forming a ring with which to secure the fabric screen. A small piece of cotton soaked in sucrose solution (30-50%) is placed on the screen top and changed daily.
