2003/1/1 · SPME theory dictates that for high-sensitivity headspace extraction, the volume of gaseous phase (headspace) should be minimized. Compared to the headspace volume of 40 ml, the relative response of the headspace volume of 20 ml was 1.3, 1.2, 1.1 and 1.1 times greater for CHCl 3 , CHCl 2 Br, CHClBr 2 , and CHBr 3 , respectively.
